About the role

Manage a retail operation with annual sales under $5M, directing and supervising all store personnel. Assist customers, resolve complaints, train staff, and execute store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage retail activities and personnel
  • Interview, hire, and train staff
  • Develop promotional sales and oversee competitive pricing
  • Supervise vending and warehouse operations
  • Handle customer interactions and concerns
  • Review and analyze P&L reports
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies
  • Maintain safety standards and emergency preparedness
  • Ensure compliance with Coast Guard and federal regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a department manager or assistant manager
  • Completion of the CGX Leadership Development program (LDP)
  • Current USCG NAF employee with store operations experience
  • P&L analysis experience
  • Preferred: P&L analysis experience, prior retail merchandising experience, bachelor's degree in retail or business administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
