Hourly Instructional Youth Apprentice Educator - District-Wide

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid classroom teachers in prepping materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation as needed
• Assist students with classroom activities, including curriculum delivery to individuals and small and large groups
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities such as play, lunch, recess, and detention
• Assist with other classroom events, such as field trips or fire drills, as necessary
• Attend grade-level and school meetings to assess data and plan lessons accordingly
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Ability to work with adults in a team setting
• Current Cherry Creek School District student
• Basic clerical skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Ability to work one-on-one or in small or large groups of students or teachers
• Basic communication skills
