Hourly Instructional Youth Apprentice Educator - District-Wide

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist classroom teachers in prepping materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation as needed
• Assist students with classroom activities. Assist with curriculum delivery to individuals, as well as small and large groups to ensure mastering of subjects
• Maintain discipline procedures by monitoring students and reinforcing appropriate behavior during various activities such as play, lunch, recess, and detention
• Absenteeism management by assisting with other classroom events, such as field trips or fire drills, as necessary
• Attend grade-level and school meetings to assess data and plan lessons accordingly
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work with adults in a team setting
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Current Cherry Creek School District student
• Basic clerical skills
• Basic organizational Skills
• Ability to work one-on-one or in small or large groups of students or teachers
• Basic communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Light work strength level (lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds)
• Works both indoors and outdoors
• Typically a moderate noise level
• Work location is subject to change to meet the requirements of the organization
• Prolonged standing/walking
• Concentrated reading/writing/mathematics
• Normal school district environment
• Working alone
• Working with others
• Squatting
• Occasional lifting, pulling, and/or pushing
• Visual concentration
• May work outdoors when monitoring student activities
