As a Front Desk Agent, you are one of the first ambassadors that a guest comes into contact with and your friendly, authentic approach creates a unique and personalized guest experience when the guest checks in. The successful Front Desk Agent will tailor their approach by reading cues from a guest to ensure when they check in the guest feels at home. At Hampton Inn, we believe that every ambassador is an innovator, explorer, and relationship builder - someone who is able to identify the key details that make something uniquely interesting and provide guests with intriguing information about the locale.
Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out, finish daily checklist and log guest mail and faxes
- Assist in blocking of reservations and any cancellations
- Inform guests about hotel services, directions, room rates and amenities
- Operate and/or explain TDD operation for guests
- Practice the Basics of Brilliant Hosting at all times
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Good computer and phone skills
- Ability to handle transactions in an accurate manor
- Great relationship building skill and salesmanship
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching
- Some exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
- Ensure a safe work environment, follow company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, comply with quality assurance standards, and protect company assets
