About the role
Join our team as a Front Desk Agent at Skagit Valley Casino Resort! Be the welcoming face of our beautiful resort, providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service to all guests.
Responsibilities
- Friendly, efficient, and courteous check-in and check-out of guests.
- Answer incoming telephone calls; create reservations over the phone and in person.
- Accurately maintain guest accounts, including responding to billing inquiries and disputes.
- Maintain awareness of current and future rates, discounts, promotions, and events; convey relevant details clearly and precisely.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum one-year experience in front-line guest service.
- Experience working on computers in a Windows-based environment.
- Minimum one-year experience in cashiering, including credit transactions, till reporting, and/or daily shift transactions.
- Able to manage high-volume multi-line phone systems while prioritizing guests on the phone and in person.
- Able to work with credit, billing, rate schedules, and discount information; execute basic math functions.
- Effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests and co-workers.
- Communicate information verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Exhibit a high level of integrity, initiative, and self-accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year experience at a hotel front desk or in commissioned retail sales.
- Experience with hotel property management systems.
- Experience in a comparable front-line or hospitality/travel industry setting.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
- Spend extended periods walking, standing, or bending.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willing and able to work non-traditional schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining attendance and punctuality standards.
- Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working from an assigned work area.
- Lift or otherwise move objects and/or exert up to 20 pounds of force.
