About the role

At Hyatt Regency San Antonio, the Restaurant Supervisor provides strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills to support senior leadership and ensure efficient service and meaningful guest experiences. The supervisor leads associates by coaching, giving direction, and may handle training, scheduling, payroll, interviewing, procuring product, marketing, and assisting staff to thrive. They must demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge, ensure each outlet (MKT, Q Kitchen, and Bar) is equipped with essential supplies, maintain a strong floor presence, and contribute to the overall success of service, product quality, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Coach and give direction to associates, fostering a supportive work environment.
• Conduct training, scheduling, payroll processing, and interviewing as needed.
• Procure products and support marketing initiatives for the outlets.
• Assist staff with any needs to help them thrive while at work.
• Ensure each outlet (MKT, Q Kitchen, and Bar) is stocked with essential supplies.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor to oversee service delivery.
• Drive overall success of service, product quality, and service standards.
• Perform additional duties as required to support the food and beverage operations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of food and beverage experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Ability to work any shift on any day, including weekends and holidays.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and confidence.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to handle a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong time‑management and multi‑tasking abilities, especially under pressure.
• Positive leadership characteristics that inspire employees to exceed standards.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service and interface skills.
• Strong food, beverage, and alcohol knowledge.
• TABC and Food Handler certifications.

Schedule

Must be able to work any shift on any day, including weekends and holidays.
