Hostess Part time

About the role

Responsible for ensuring members and guests receive friendly, attentive, and efficient service in the dining room.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and positive manner.
• Provide menus to guests.
• Check function sheets and reservations daily against room set-up and employee schedule.
• Ensure appearance of personnel and cleanliness in all service areas meets standards.
• Assist dining room managers and front-of-house managers as assigned.
• Help set up and prepare dining room areas, functions, and events.
• Review "specials" and conduct daily or nightly meetings with waitstaff and bus staff.
• Set up tables and provide silverware as needed.
• Work with Clubhouse Managers and Dining Room/front-of-house managers on employee policies and procedures.
• Implement bar and food service policies to ensure standard procedures are followed.
• Handle member complaints and report problems to the manager on duty to prevent recurrence.
• Assist with training and maintaining a positive attitude among employees.
• Perform any additional duties or tasks that may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous experience greeting or hosting guests.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Neat appearance and courteous manner.
• Punctuality and a good attendance record are expected.
• Provide courteous and appropriate service to members and their guests at all times.

This is a part-time position in a drug-free workplace.
