Host / Hostess - Sports Bar and Restaurant - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment.
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
• Use guests’ names during all interactions and greet each guest entering the restaurant.
• Seat guests according to specified rotation requirements and maintain proper seating and reservation documentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including cashiering area, as necessary or required.
• Aid the wait staff and bus persons in their duties as needed.
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining financial controls.
• Complete assigned closing duties at the end of each shift.
• Compete any reasonable job duties or requests from managers or management personnel.
• Know and promote current casino events and programs, providing guests with directions to all casino areas.
• Thank customers, invite them back, wish them luck, and make it easy for them to return to play.

Requirements

• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills.
• Available to work required schedules, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Ability to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and perform tasks in various work areas such as confined spaces.

Qualifications

Must be available to work required schedules, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Skills

Customer service/communication skills, multitasking abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment.
