Server - Sports Bar and Restaurant - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fostering a fun environment
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events
• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff
• Engage in friendly conversations with guests whenever possible
• Provide personalized service and use guest’s name during all interactions
• Greet each guest entering the restaurant
• Take food and drink orders, communicate with the bartender, assist in the preparation of drinks, and present drinks to guests
• Maintain guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ring proper amounts into the register, give correct change, account for all sales, and maintain financial controls
• Keep designated working area clean and organized, assist in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, including host stand area, as necessary or required
• Complete any reasonably requested job duties or requests made by managers or management personnel
• Recognize players and relay that information to the host/hostess and/or other restaurant team members to ensure they receive appropriate service
• Know and promote current property events and promotions
• Thank customers, invite them back, wish them luck

• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to three months of related experience and/or training
• Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Count money and change correctly
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
• Able to respond to visual and oral cues
• Able to work in constricting areas
• Able to tolerate noise and bright lights
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
