Host/Hostess at Catbird Lounge (PM Shift)

About the role

Join our F&B team as a Host/Hostess at Thompson Dallas, a luxury hotel located within The National, Dallas’ newest urban luxury mixed-use project. You’ll be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests as they enter to be seated. This role requires professionalism, the highest level of hospitality, and an outgoing personality. Smiles and anticipating guests' needs are standard.

Thompson Dallas features 219 rooms with 52 suites, three full-service dining and drink offerings, a boutique spa and fitness experience, and a variety of event spaces, including the 14,000 square foot National Ballroom. The hotel is part of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation portfolio and is designed with a stunning mid-century modern hexagon structure, rising above the Dallas skyline.

Catbird, our elevated lounge experience, offers a blend of mid-century classics in beverages, ranging from light and refreshing to spirit-forward cocktails, accompanied by eclectic shareable bites. The space is encased with lush indoor and outdoor rooftop areas, rich greenery, skyline views, and world-class artwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant.
• Provide a welcoming and professional greeting to all guests.
• Anticipate and meet guest needs with a high level of hospitality.
• Maintain a polished and upscale demeanor in a luxury environment.

Requirements

• Upscale beverage programming experience preferred.
• Deep cocktail knowledge beyond the basics.
• Ability to curate and communicate complicated cocktail knowledge.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Full availability, including weekends and holidays.
