About the Role
As a warm and welcoming Host/Hostess at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, you are the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in setting the tone for their dining experience. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to manage reservations and guest flow contribute to a seamless and memorable visit that reflects the excellence of our brand.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel’s reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations.
- Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
- Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant hosting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant.
