About the role

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. This independently contracted position will provide a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities in the Maryville/Greater Knoxville, TN area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and comfortable home for an individual with disabilities
• Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs required for the individual to live a high-quality life
• Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support
• Be available 24/7 to provide care in a family-like setting
• Be open to supervisory visits in your home

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required
• Will need to successfully complete trainings through Community Options

Pay

Host Home Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate PLUS they receive monthly room and board from the individual they support – this income is tax exempt.
