About the role

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. Become a Foster Care / Host Home Provider and make a positive impact by opening your home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
• Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs of the individual are met.
• Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required.
• Successfully complete trainings through Community Options.
• Be open to supervisory visits in your home.

Qualifications

• Open to providing a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Willingness to work in the San Antonio, TX area.

Skills

• Ability to build and maintain a supportive relationship with the individual you house and support.

Benefits

• Contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate PLUS monthly room and board from the individual you support.
• The income is tax-exempt.

Pay

• Per-diem rate plus room and board.

Schedule

• 24/7 availability required.
