About the role

Become a Foster Care / Host Home Provider and make a positive impact on someone’s life by opening your home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This independently contracted position provides a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual in the San Antonio, TX area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and comfortable home for an individual with disabilities
• Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs of the individual are met to support a high-quality life
• Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support
• Complete required trainings through Community Options
• Be open to supervisory visits in your home

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required

Pay

Host Home Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate plus receive monthly room and board from the individual they support. This income is tax exempt.
