Host an International High School Exchange Student (St. Peters, M0)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from various countries including France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking a family to host them for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Attend the local high school with the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance
• Support the exchange student with personal expenses

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester

Qualifications

• Willingness to embrace cultural differences and diversity
• Good health and willingness to participate in regular health screenings
• Ability to provide a stable living environment
