Host an International High School Exchange Student (St. Joseph, M0)
ERDT/SHARE! is a global non-profit educational foundation established in 1974. We provide international student exchange services to host families and international teens. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from countries such as France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are eager to find a family to host them for a school year or semester.
Responsibilities
- Attend your local high school with the SHARE! student
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the SHARE! student
- Help the SHARE! student adjust to life in your community
- Ensure the SHARE! student has access to medical care and insurance
- Support the SHARE! student with personal expenses
Requirements
- Must be a legal resident of the United States
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a stable home and address
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing training sessions
Qualifications
- Willingness to open your home and heart to a new friend
- Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment
- Interest in learning about different cultures and ways of life
- Availability to host the SHARE! student for a full school year or semester

Pay
No financial compensation is provided for hosting a SHARE! student.
Schedule
Host families are expected to commit to hosting a SHARE! student for a full school year or semester. Specific schedules may vary based on the school calendar and the needs of the student.
