Host an International High School Exchange Student (St. Louis, M0)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from various countries such as France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking host families.

Responsibilities

• Host an international exchange student for a school year or semester.
• Attend the student's local high school classes.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the student.
• Ensure the student has access to medical care and insurance.
• Help the student adjust to life in the new country and culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a stable home and address.
• Be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Have a valid driver's license if driving the student to school.
• Be willing to provide meals and accommodations for the student.

• Ability to be patient and understanding.
• Good organizational skills.
