ERDT/SHARE! is a global non‑profit educational foundation that has been providing international student exchange services to host families and international teens since 1974.
About the role
SHARE! is seeking caring individuals and families to host a high‑school exchange student for a semester or a full school year. Hosted students are ages 14–18 and come from countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, and many others. The student will live with the host family, attend the local high school, and share their culture and traditions while experiencing American family life.
Host family qualifications
- Two‑parent families (with or without children)
- Single parents
- Single adults
- Retired couples
- Empty‑nesters
- A caring heart, a stable home, and a willingness to welcome a student
Student profile
- Age 14–18
- Speaks English
- Has comprehensive medical insurance
- Receives spending money for personal expenses
- Carefully screened and selected before arriving in the United States
