Host an International High School Exchange Student (Phenix City, AL)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student
• Attend orientation sessions with the student
• Help the student adjust to life in the new country
• Ensure the student attends their local high school classes
• Support the student in their academic and social development

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willingness to provide a safe and welcoming home environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Availability to host the student for a full school year or semester

Qualifications

• Experience living and working internationally is a plus
• Passion for fostering cultural understanding and appreciation
• Open-mindedness and willingness to learn about different cultures
