About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student
• Attend orientation sessions with the exchange student
• Help the student adjust to life in the new country and culture
• Ensure the student attends their host family's local high school
• Support the student's academic and social development
• Encourage the student to participate in community activities

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willingness to commit to hosting for a school year or semester
• Ability to provide a safe and stable living environment
• Knowledge of English language and cultural awareness
• Availability to attend orientation sessions

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Be able to provide proof of health insurance
