Host an International High School Exchange Student (Birmingham, AL)
ERDT/SHARE! is a global non-profit educational foundation established in 1974. We provide international student exchange services to host families and international teens. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from countries such as France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking host families or adults to join their school year or semester.
Responsibilities
- Attend the local high school with the exchange student
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
- Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance
- Support the exchange student in adjusting to a new culture and lifestyle
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester
