Host an International High School Exchange Student (Elizabethtown, KY)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student.
• Attend orientation sessions provided by SHARE!
• Ensure the exchange student has access to appropriate healthcare and emergency contacts.
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country and culture.
• Encourage the exchange student to participate in local community activities.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a stable home environment.
• Be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to provide a positive and supportive environment for the exchange student.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• A desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

• Strong communication skills.
• Patience and understanding.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
