Host an International High School Exchange Student (Independence, KY)

ERDT/SHARE! is a global non-profit educational foundation established in 1974. It provides international student exchange services to host families and international teens. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from countries such as France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking host families.

Responsibilities

• Attend the local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance
• Support the exchange student financially for personal expenses

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student
• Ability to communicate in English
• Availability to host the exchange student for a school year or semester

• Willingness to share your home and culture with an international teen
• Ability to provide a stable and supportive living environment
• Open-mindedness to cultural differences and experiences
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the exchange student
