Host an International High School Exchange Student (De Soto County, MS)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from various countries, are seeking a family to host them for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student.
• Attend the local high school with the exchange student.
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance.
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country and culture.
• Engage in cultural exchanges and activities with the exchange student.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Availability to host the exchange student during school hours.
• Willingness to participate in cultural exchange activities.

Qualifications

• Experience living and working internationally is a plus.
• Passion for fostering cross-cultural understanding and relationships.
• Willingness to adapt to new situations and cultures.
