Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates with hospital floor staff to ensure timely and appropriate meal delivery.
- Ensures accuracy of patient information and dietary preferences.
- Prepares and delivers food trays to patients, ensuring they are warm and garnished appropriately.
- Communicates with patients, soliciting feedback and addressing concerns.
- Follows procedures for handling late trays and maintains proper food temperatures.
- Stocks and prepares refrigerators and warmers, and assists in food preparation as needed.
- Researches and understands various diets and allergies, disposing of waste and cleaning equipment thoroughly.
- Operates dish machines and labels inventory items.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous food service experience and/or training is preferred.
- Ability to perform on-the-job training.
- Basic mathematical skills and record-keeping abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow departmental policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.

- Food service knowledge and experience.
