Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates with hospital floor staff to ensure timely and appropriate meal delivery.
- Ensures accuracy of patient information and dietary preferences.
- Prepares and delivers food trays promptly and garnishes appropriately.
- Interacts with patients to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Follows procedures for handling late trays and maintains proper food temperatures.
- Stocks and cleans refrigerators and prepares side dishes.
- Receives and stores food orders, labels items, and dates inventory.
- Uses the Three Sink Method to clean dishes and operates dish machines.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and patients.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Previous food service experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to perform on-the-job training.
- Ability to do simple calculations and record keeping.
- Ability to interact with all ages and disabilities of hospitalized patients.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
