Patient Dining Associate - Full Time

Overview

Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Patient Dining Associate.

Hours

Full Time, rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services
• Interacts with Nursing in regard to patient nutrition needs or requirements
• Affirm patient meal service food on assigned units
• Makes sure patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets are monitored and records food intake for patients on intake analysis
• Accurately and effectively reacts to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets
• Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction
• Ensures patient satisfaction on assigned units

Requirements

• Experience in Food Service or Customer Service experience - Required

Qualifications

• Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted
• Certified Food Service Handler's Card (as required by local Health Department)
