Hospitalist Per Diem - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role
Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their energetic hospitalist team. The successful Advanced Practitioner will provide full-spectrum inpatient care, including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status. New and experienced providers receive a comprehensive orientation led by exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical examinations under established guidelines and in collaboration with practice physician(s).
- Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with the physician(s) and care team members (e.g., referral to specialists or other health team members).
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols.
- Identify problems outside the scope of practice and refer appropriately to a physician.
Schedule
Full-time days with a flexible schedule. Premium differentials offered. No call required.

Requirements
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
- Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- 1+ year of experience in an internal medicine or hospitalist setting.
