Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (Nocturnist)

About the role

Bring better care, collaboration, and commitment to the local community in Manhattan, KS. We are hiring for an APP nocturnist hospitalist at Ascension Via Christi Hospital. Candidates must be comfortable with an open ICU with tele-Intensivist backup.

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 4 APPs at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.
• Admit 5-6 patients and take cross coverage calls on an ADC of 40 patients per day.
• Open ICU with Tele Intensivist backup.

Key Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists available in a small community-based hospital.
• Work in coordination with a tele-intensivist, with the specialist handling all procedures and running codes and rapid.
• Utilize Magnetech with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
• Manage patients from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP.
• Previous hospitalist experience is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule

• 12-hour nocturnist shifts, 7-days-on, 7-days-off with flexible scheduling.

Rewards And Compensation

• Compensation: $160,000.
