Hospitalist - Nocturnist

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Abington Hospital. This role offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
• Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
• Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.

Schedule

• Overnight shifts (night schedule)
• One week on / one week off rotation
