Hospital Supervisor RN

About the Role

As a Hospital Supervisor RN, you will lead and exercise delegated administrative authority for supervising hospital personnel and functions, including patient care, in the Administrator's or Department Director's absence. You will act as the leader and resource, facilitating efficient operations and serving as an administrative representative knowledgeable about hospital policies. This role primarily covers evening, night, and weekend shifts when no Administrator or Director is on-site.

Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, strong clinical nursing knowledge, superior decision-making under pressure, and a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, policies, and emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader and key resource in facilitating efficient and safe operational activities throughout the facility.
• Act as an administrative representative and resource to staff, including interpreting hospital policies and procedures and assisting with problem-solving.
• Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
• Responsible for problem resolution and/or coordination by following the appropriate chain of command.
• Identify and address departmental and/or personnel issues.
• Apply knowledge and skill to problem-solving situations with minimal supervision.
• Exercise authority, after consultation, to suspend employees affecting patient care.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing or related field (required). Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification (required).
• Minimum of two years of recent work experience in a supervisory, management, or other healthcare leadership capacity.
• Clinical work experience as a Registered Nurse.

Pay

$54.95 - $103.62 per hour.
