Hospital Services Supervisor, Greenfield

About the role

The Hospital Services Supervisor position at CSO provides behavioral health services including consultation, support, assessment, intervention, and discharge planning to individuals and families in the Emergency Department. The position is based at the hospital and fulfills the CSO contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake, psychiatric assessment services, and appropriate dispositions for clients experiencing a mental health emergency
• Aid patients/families through coordination of referrals and resource linkage to maximize treatment in the least restrictive setting
• Document required by the Emergency Department to client medical records
• Seek external information to supplement clinical assessments, including contacting providers, family, friends, and significant supports
• Request expert consultations from supervisors, psychiatrists, hospital staff, and CSO staff
• Intervene primarily in the hospital but may provide follow-up care in the community
• Facilitate admissions to local inpatient psychiatric hospitals following established procedures
• Complete initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for hospitals where services are provided, including vaccinations, tox screens, and safety/health education competencies
• Maintain established hospital policies, procedures, confidentiality, quality improvement programs, safety, infection control, compliance, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Clinical Master's degree
• Clinical license (preferred)
• Experience treating individuals with mental illness in outpatient, residential, crisis intervention, or psychiatric inpatient settings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
