Hospital Medicine Physician

About the role

We are hiring for a hospitalist and a nocturnist position at Via Christi St. Teresa in Wichita, Kansas. The hospital has an open ICU with intensivist support and works with a close-knit team of 4 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible internal medicine or family medicine physicians
• J1 candidates invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered
• Accepting new graduates, residents, and fellows

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide variety of cases at a large community-based hospital, including admissions and cross-coverage, with the support of a robust multispecialty team
• Leverage advanced resources and specialist expertise to provide care for patients transferred from smaller rural hospitals
• Collaborate closely with residents, contributing to a teaching and mentorship environment
• Work in coordination with an intensivist team that handles all procedures, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making
• Utilize Cerner with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform, enabling a streamlined workflow and communication
