Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Women & Infants Hospital

It is also the leading hospital in the region for women seeking treatment for infertility, incontinence, gynecologic and breast cancers, high‑risk and normal obstetrics, postpartum depression, gastrointestinal disorders, and other medical conditions. The Med/Surge unit is a 21‑bed unit providing comprehensive post‑surgical and medical care to women, with an average of 6‑10 patients per day and close collaboration with Women & Infants’ and Brown University’s sub‑specialty physicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform admissions, health history and physical examinations.
- Provide consults upon request from the team while managing medical issues.
- Participate in the medical emergency response team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certified by ANCC, AANPCB or NCCPA.
- Hold an active Rhode Island, CSR, and DEA license (or be eligible).
- One year of experience preferred.
