Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hospital Medical Technologist (ASCP) to join our team at a prestigious hospital in Overland Park, KS.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to blood tests, urine tests, and microbiology cultures
- Collect and prepare samples for testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues as needed
- Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in laboratory technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- ASCP certification required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
