Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Night Shift (Tuesday to Saturday, 11pm to 7:30am)

Department description
The UW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboards. Our team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of calls. We receive, and route calls for our patients, their families, and staff.
Primary job responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls into the main telephone numbers for the medical centers.
- Transfer external and internal calls.
- Provide visitor information and general customer service reception.
- Receive and dispatch all emergency communication calls to include trauma codes, code blue, and other medical emergencies.
- Paging services for patients, staff, and medical providers.
- Monitor and respond to alarms.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent.
- Six months of additional qualifying experience may substitute for required education.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Computer skills, including competent keyboard abilities.

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
Pay Range: Minimum $21.63 hourly, Maximum $26.63 hourly.
