Hospital AP/CP General Pathologist

AmeriPath in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a hospital-based AP/CP Pathologist to support four hospitals and five surgery centers within the Texas Health Resources System.

About the role

The selected candidate will join a team of seven pathologists handling a diverse caseload. Preference will be given to those with fellowship training or additional experience in hematopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, gynecologic pathology, or cytopathology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a mix of anatomic and clinical pathology cases
• Provide frozen-section and inpatient interpretations at assigned facilities
• Collaborate with hospital and laboratory decision-makers

Requirements

• MD or DO degree plus completion of an accredited pathology residency
• Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology
• Valid, unrestricted Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Active clinical privileges at facilities where frozen sections or inpatient work are performed
• Strong customer focus and understanding of hospital/laboratory operations

Qualifications

• Fellowship in surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, gynecologic pathology, hematopathology, and/or cytopathology preferred
• Three or more years of post-residency experience preferred but not required
