Hospice House Nursing Assistant Nightshift

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care, including personal care (ADL) such as bathing, body mechanics, nutrition, elimination, safety, special procedures, and housekeeping services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences (IDT) and special case conferences.
• Perform sterile dressing for wounds over 48 hours old, wound irrigation, ostomy care or ostomy irrigation, insertion of urinary catheter (limited to replacement), oxygen therapy, and tracheostomy care.
• Document accurately, complete, succinctly, and timely according to HPCCR guidelines and licensure/certification standards.
• Clean patient rooms and ensure facility cleanliness, stock supplies, and maintain family room cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, plus training/certification in related field required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Must be in good standing with NC Department of Health and Human Services.
• Minimum 1 year experience required, preferably in home care, working with terminally ill, and/or geriatrics.
