Hospice House LVN
About the role
Mission Hospice & Home Care seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care to hospice patients at our Hospice House in Redwood City.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient care services.
- Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to plan of care.
- Participates in the coordination of hospice services and report identified needs to the Program Director and interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Completion of a Licensed Vocational Nursing Education Program from an accredited school.
- Minimum of one year of LVN experience preferably in an acute care setting.
- Experience in a home health/hospice setting preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse certification from the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
- Valid California certification in Intravenous Therapy & Blood Withdrawal preferred.
- Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

$38.65 - $48.40 hourly
Schedule
Per diem; must be available at least 4 shifts per month; 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am
