Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care to terminally ill residents and render prescribed treatments to clients residing at the Hospice House.
• Take and keep track of residents’ vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Prepare and give patients injections and enemas, monitor catheters, and dress wounds, as needed.
• Assess present and potential problems, needs, and resources of the resident and communicate this to the Hospice House Case Manager.

Schedule

Part-time day shift (7am-7pm) with a rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Monday & Thursday
• Week 2: Sunday & Monday

Pay

$35/hr. - $42/hr. based on experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Current State of Massachusetts LPN license.
• Previous community health experience, preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and Hospice experience, preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organized, flexible, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Compassionate and caring attitude, sympathetic.
