About the Role

As a Home Care Hospice Educator, you will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of education for home care with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will work in collaboration with home care managers to ensure orientation, competency, development, and integration of new colleagues, as well as the ongoing development of current staff.

Additional responsibilities include serving as the informatics liaison and providing education regarding competence with multiple types of technologies (computer, electronic health record (Epic), learning management system, etc.) required for each role. The educator also functions as a liaison with schools, colleges, and universities to coordinate student learning activities.

Pay

Pay Range: $40.44–$64.70 per hour (based on years of experience, education, skillset, and other factors).

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Nursing education program; bachelor’s in nursing is preferred.
  • Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Hospice education or leadership.
  • Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials, and related visual aids.
  • Must possess accurate and clear oral & written communication skills.
