Hospice Educator
About the Role
As a Home Care Hospice Educator, you will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of education for home care, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will collaborate with home care managers to ensure orientation, competency, development, and integration of new colleagues, as well as the ongoing development of current staff. Additionally, you will serve as the informatics liaison, providing education on various technologies required for each role, and coordinate student learning activities with educational institutions.

Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate education programs for home care.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with home care managers on orientation, competency, and staff development.
- Serve as the informatics liaison, providing education on technologies like Epic EHR and learning management systems.
- Coordinate student learning activities with schools, colleges, and universities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Nursing education program; bachelor’s in nursing preferred.
- Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Hospice education or leadership.
- Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications for creating instructional materials.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Pay
Pay Range: $40.44-$64.70 per hour (based on years of experience, education, skillset, and other factors).
