As a Hospice CNA you will provide paraprofessional services to the organization’s home care clients as developed by the primary nurse and as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the state’s Nurse Practice Act, and any other regulations defining home health aide / hospice aide services.
Shift Description
Work Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Responsibilities
- Provide paraprofessional services to the organization’s home care clients as developed by the primary nurse and as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the state’s Nurse Practice Act, and any other regulations defining home health aide / hospice aide services.
- Support patients and families emotionally during their time of need.
- Assist with daily living activities as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Epic EHR system.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Maryland.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or home health (preferred).
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with the Epic EHR system.

Pay
Pay Range: $18.63 - $27.94 per hour (based on years of experience and skill set)
