Hospice Branch Director - RN

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of terminal care including pain and symptom management
• Supervises the staff and oversees service coordination and case management
• Executes an effective, supportive, and sensitive approach in response to the needs of employees and patients/families
• Supervises day-to-day office and clinical operations
• Plans, coordinates, and delivers interdisciplinary team interventions
• Assigns appropriate staff members to patients/families and acts as a staff nurse when necessary
• Participates in community awareness and education programs

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience within the past 36 months and one year of experience in a hospice setting
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing hospice operations
• Competent with computers
