Horticulture Crew Member

Job Overview

The Crew Member is responsible for maintaining a variety of landscape structures ranging from typical grassy areas to more granular items like houseplants. This person will also assist with any pruning tasks needed during their shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and care of woody, perennial, and annual plant material
• Job duties could include wide array of installation and maintenance responsibilities from mulching, planting, grading, etc.
• Ensure job sites and/or maintenance properties are kept clean and tidy and free of plant debris
• Remove weeds and dead plants as needed to preserve the health and natural beauty of the plants
• Trim overgrown limbs, hedges and leaves to ensure an appealing look to the area

Requirements

• At least 1 year of proven work experience as a Landscaper or similar job
• Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers
• Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to oversee several projects at a time
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
