Honeycomb Grilll Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Full-time, seasonal, hourly position at Honeycomb Grill Restaurant under the supervision of the Honeycomb Grill Chef.

About the role

Solitude is looking for a committed and easygoing individual who has a passion for the food industry. The prep cook is an entry-level position that assists in the culinary operation of the restaurant kitchen. The dishwashing role ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, silverware, glasses, and kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitized condition.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience working as a dishwasher or prep cook
• Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, dishwashing equipment, cleaning equipment, and all cleaning detergents
• Ability to assist kitchen staff with cleaning and necessary food prep
• Ability to take orders and work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
• Follow company policy and procedures as set forth in the handbook
• Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and/or certifications such as Food Handler's Permit
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in all kitchen cleaning duties, including station tear down, dishwashing, equipment cleaning, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving orders to ensure proper rotation and storage of cold and dry storage areas
• Exceptional communication skills required
• Ability to take direction
