Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Your role as a valued kitchen and Crystal Bees team member is to support the kitchen staff in providing an exceptional culinary experience at our facility. Responsibilities

• Clean all dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies for a restaurant
• Keep the dish room and dish machine in clean, working order
• Perform duties necessary to maintain an overall clean and safe work environment, including trash removal, sweeping and washing floors, cleaning spills and breakage, and other cleaning tasks
• Ensure equipment is put away and remains organized
• Assist other staff members as needed
• Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Constant movement and physical activity while on the clock
• Able to operate different machines and know the proper specifications needed to sterilize restaurant utensils
• Aware of basic sanitary guidelines
• Comfortable lifting large loads and being able to stand for at least 8 hours
• Prior experience as a prep cook is preferred
