About the role

The Home Repair Projects Manager oversees and manages home repair projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety policies, and budget constraints. The role involves conducting assessments, developing quotes, managing budgets, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct home assessments to determine the scope of work and repair needs.
  • Develop accurate project quotes and acquire necessary permits.
  • Act as project team leader, overseeing and instructing volunteers on building procedures, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure all work adheres to approved drawings, building codes, and budget constraints.
  • Manage repair program budgets, track expenditures, and provide financial updates.
  • Purchase materials, tools, and equipment for project sites.
  • Operate project sites in compliance with safety policies, maintaining materials, vehicles, and tools.
  • Oversee project completion, final inspections, ensure homeowner satisfaction, and close out project documentation.
  • Provide warranty support for new construction homes as needed.
  • Track and report key performance indicators, maintain records, and share updates with leadership.
  • Support volunteer, safety, and timesheet logs.
  • Supervise, motivate, and recognize Home Repair Site Supervisors and volunteer work crews.
  • Communicate potential changes in project scope to the Homeowner Services Associate and Construction Director.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to support overall departmental goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and other partners.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with project manager software like BuilderTrend.
  • Strong understanding of home repair, renovation, and permitting processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, scopes of work, and building codes.
  • Collaborative, professional team player with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to set and balance priorities, adapt to changes, and make timely decisions.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Experience in tracking expenses and building a project budget preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of Construction or related experience required.
  • Previous experience with OSHA requirements preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Schedule

Fulltime/Exempt, Regular hours 7:30am – 4:30pm EST Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed)
