Position Summary HouseMaster Bay Area is seeking an experienced, certified home inspector to join our high-volume professional inspection team. This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for someone who has prior experience independently performing residential home inspections and can confidently complete thorough, full-scope inspections from start to finish. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable clearly communicating inspection findings to clients and real estate agents. Role And Responsibilities Perform approximately two home inspections per day, averaging 8–10 inspections per weekIndependently conduct full-scope residential inspections, including:CrawlspacesAtticsRoofsOlder homes and properties with complex systemsClearly and professionally explain inspection findings to clients and agents onsiteComplete accurate, detailed inspection reports using company softwareTravel to inspection sites throughout the assigned service areaMaintain consistent standards for quality, punctuality, communication, and professionalism Required Qualifications Current home inspector certification from a recognized inspection organization or training programAt least two years of direct residential home inspection experience preferredProven ability to independently complete full residential inspectionsStrong knowledge of residential building systems and common defectsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience producing professional home inspection reportsValid driver’s license and an acceptable driving recordDependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to manage a full inspection scheduleComfortable using inspection software, mobile applications, and digital tools Physical And Field Requirements Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of full residential inspections, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Climbing and safely using laddersWalking accessible roof surfaces when conditions permitEntering accessible crawlspaces and atticsStanding, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periodsLifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 poundsWorking outdoors in various weather conditionsEntering homes that may contain pets, dust, insulation, or other environmental conditions Compensation Estimated annual earnings of $60,000–$80,000+, depending on inspection volume, experience, and performanceConsistent inspection volume provided—no need to find your own clientsCompensation structure based on qualifications, experience, and performance Benefits And Perks Company vehicle providedEmployer-matched 401(k)Consistent workload and professional scheduling supportEstablished inspection systems and reporting processesOngoing training and professional developmentSupport from an experienced, growing inspection company IMPORTANT This position is intended for an already-certified inspector with professional home inspection experience.
