Home Inspector

Role And Responsibilities

• The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements.
• Works in various weather conditions, climbs ladders, walks on roofs, accesses crawl spaces and attics, and stands for long periods of time.
• Necessary for report writing and communications.
• Stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science.
• Requires punctuality, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications And Requirements

• 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including patience with clients, answering all questions during and after the inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other allergens.
